Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PillKit (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the app. We built PillKit to work without an account and to keep things simple.
What we collect
We do not ask for your name, email, or account registration to use PillKit.
- Items you add to your kit (e.g., medicine name, notes, expiry date) are stored on your device.
- Subscription data: If you purchase a subscription, Apple processes the payment. We (and/or our subscription infrastructure provider) may receive non-sensitive purchase information such as subscription status (active/expired), product identifier, and an app-specific user/purchase identifier.
How your data is used
- To provide core app features (item management, cabinets, alerts, export — depending on your plan).
- To verify and restore subscriptions (e.g., “Restore Purchases”).
- To respond to support requests if you contact us by email.
Notifications
If you enable expiry alerts, the app schedules notifications on your device. You can change notification permissions anytime in iOS Settings.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share limited data when necessary to run the app:
- Apple (In-App Purchases): processes payments and provides subscription receipts/status.
- Subscription infrastructure provider (if used): helps us validate subscription status. This may include app-user identifiers and purchase status.
Data retention
Your kit data remains on your device unless you delete it. Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored data (depending on your device settings/backups).
Children
PillKit is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us and we will address it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above.
